Are you feeling uncertain and hesitant to start the application process? Are you looking for encouragement and informed expert guidance to help you move forward? Juliana provides gentle guidance and reassurance and will guide you in a step by step process to jump start your graduate or professional school application process. Learn all the details of the application process and how to succeed in gaining entrance to your best fit graduate program. Be informed and find your best path forward through this intensive two hour virtual session. The workshop includes follow-up resources and access to drop-in advising sessions with Dr. Villegas. This workshop is limited to 12 participants.

First hour:

What graduate or professional program is the right fit for you?

What is your best path forward? Individualized timelines and plan of action!

Topics will include transcripts, letters of recommendation, standardized tests, writing the personal statement and statement of purpose, CV/resume, funding resources, networking, mentorship, and admission interviews.

Second hour:

Hands-on writing practice including draft emails to prospective recommenders and your statement of purpose and personal statement (choosing topic, structure, and your next best steps). You will leave the workshop having created a working draft, including follow up questions, toward completion of your graduate or professional school essay.
