Goal Setting and Planning:

  • Collaboratively develop individualized action plan.

  • Research and identify best-fit programs, emphasizing career track and networking opportunities, community, academics/research/internships, financials, and location.

  • Strategize standardized test preparation and registration process, as needed (GRE, LSAT, MCAT, GMAT, DAT, PA-Cat, etc.).

  • Guidance and best practices for letters of recommendation.

  • Assessing resume and revamping and enhancing, as needed. 

  • Interview preparation and learning how to network effectively.

  • Follow up - letter of continued interest (if applicable - waitlisted)

Program Research:

  • Conduct guided research to explore best-fit programs (being alert to important information gathering sessions and specialized visits offered by school)

  • Articulate reasons behind program choices based on thorough self-reflection and alignment with personal values.

  • Develop comprehensive program lists with appropriate “safety,” target, and reach options. 

Organization and Application Preparation:

  • Organize program research and requirements along with writing drafts within shared google folders.

  • Establish clear timelines and task lists for each application, noting all deadlines and requirements (professional school applications should be submitted much earlier than stated deadlines)

  • Review and understand application platforms specific to discipline (Graduate School and Program Admissions unique to each school or for professional schools platforms such as AMCAS (medical), ADEA (dental), LSAC (law), CASPA (physicians assistant), PharmCAS, etc.)

  • Clarify procedures and deadlines for international universities, as applicable. Networking opportunities.

Personal Statement, Statement of Purpose, and Supplementals:

  • Start to finish essay support. Sustained writing and editing of personal statements, statement of purpose, and all supplemental essays.

Application Refinement:

  • Review and finalize application, including the strategic submission of standardized test scores.
